(19 photos) I spent two nights recently at the adorable little Danish village of Solvang. It’s north of Los Angeles by about 140 miles, and about 170 from my hometown of Orange. Visiting post-tourist season was a good choice. My motel room was gorgeous and at a rate of $92/night including breakfast and passes for free wine tastings in town, not to be beat! I highly recommend a visit if you haven’t yet been. ~SueBee
