Taking a Stroll Around the Lake

Nothing like discovering new hiking trails, especially when they’re only 5 miles from home 🙂 Cam and I explored and took pictures at Laguna Lake in Fullerton. The length of the hike was just right, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect, and the scenery was very pretty. And for perfect timing, an Equestrian competition was going on too!

So, as I’ve come to notice during all of our adventures, Cam has this magical ability to spot wildlife, regardless of how small or hidden. While walking along the trail, he started taking pictures of some pretty flowers. Turns out, there was a tiny, size of an ant, praying mantis on one of the stems! It was so cute, I’m pretty sure the majority of my pictures were of it.

I love low-key places like Laguna Lake…there’s stuff to look at/watch (fishing and the Equestrian competition), while still getting a nice walk. Can’t wait for our next discovery! ~Kat (pics by Kat)
