Parasailing Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge

While in Portland last month, I was lucky to connect with an old friend from my Irish Dancing dressmaking days. She picked me up from my hotel, and took me on the most fabulous drive up the Columbia River Gorge. The weather was clear and sunny, just perfect for touring. Spectacular scenery was on every side, and it felt great to be a passenger for a change and really take in the views. We stopped for a glass of wine in the tiny town of Hood River, and then headed down to the river for a walk. The area is apparently the hangout for those wishing to test the winds on the water! What a fantastic day we had in gorgeous Oregon!~SueBee

I think they are confused and identifying paragliding as parasailing. Parasailing, you are towed behind a boat.

Definitely beautiful scenery, and beautiful sails, and for sure a spectator sport as far as I’m concerned.
