End of the weekend, I drove down to Newport Beach Peninsula yesterday evening for a quick stroll on the beach. Luckily people had started leaving and I found a parking spot. It had been a prime Southern California almost-summer day and crowds were out in force. I watched the sun slowly set and some really big waves roll in. There’s apparently a storm somewhere out in the Pacific and we’re to expect really big, oftentimes dangerous surf conditions for the next few days. Leaving the beach, I joined what seemed like hundreds (millions?!) of other cars slowly creeping toward home. ~SueBee

Such a pretty place. Our son dated a young lady from Balboa Island, so we were able to see Newport Beach whenever we came to CA. Love the whole area!
