A spontaneous decision a few months back resulted in entering two of my handmade journals to the Los Angeles County Fair. It’s a first for me, but something I’d thought about back in the day while still designing and creating Irish Dance costumes. While those dresses were custom-order and therefore not feasible entry material, the journals seemed like a “why not”. The Fair opens on August 30 so I still have awhile to wait before I can go see them in a display case, but the excitement is building. I haven’t been to that particular Fair in decades, so I’ll be making a day of it. I’ll post an update after I’ve been!
