A spontaneous visit to Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge resulted in the beautiful scenes included in this post. The number of visitors are being limited, advance reservations must be made by all non-members, and face masks are required. I was lucky to get a same-day, early morning spot, took a surprisingly pleasant drive up the freeway, and enjoyed a day of lovely weather. ~SueBee

It was good timing on my part as we’ve finally had cold wind and rain come into the area this weekend. I’m finally able to see that my new roof installed last spring does a nice job keeping the inside dry!
