I visited the town of Lucas, Kansas, today. Per the internet, “Lucas is a small city in Russell County, Kansas, known as the “Grassroots Art Capital of Kansas,” with a population of 332 as of the 2020 census” and is about an hour and a half drive northwest from my home. An art display was set for today, April 1st, April Fool’s Day, and I thought it might be interesting. It was, and I have a line-up of posts that I’ll get uploaded this month.
For today, though, I thought this might be an appropriate post considering that many family traditions include lots of sweets on Easter Sunday. My teeth hurt just thinking about it after looking at this car. You might want to zoom in. It’s quite UNreal, as my mom would have said! ~SueBee
PS: a note from the artist (picture was too small to upload) said “in my defense, the moon was full and I was left unsupervised”.

Extraordinary car decoration!
I’ve been through Lucas but never stopped.
Apparently April 1st the town holds an annual event with all the art galleries open to the public. It was really interesting!
