This piece, number 8 in my Assemblage lineup, was inspired by the first line in Joni Mitchell’s Big Yellow Taxi song (“they paved paradise and put up a parking lot”)… It’s made from a very old toy truck, metal springs for the flower stems, kitchen utensils to create the flowers, old junk for the truck bed to add realism, a cement block that I painted parking strips on.
