One of the great perks of being retired I’ve discovered, is spontaneously tossing a few things in the car and heading down the coast… without calling out “sick”. I waited for morning rush hour traffic to fade and actually enjoyed my drive on the freeway. I exited at San Clemente and walked along the water’s edge. Now that’s living! After awhile I continued on to Oceanside, Carlsbad, Leucadia, and Encinitas. It was a perfect Friday. ~SueBee
