We had a smattering of rain on Sunday morning; it’s been an unusually rainy year. Once the rain moved on I drove to the nearby Fullerton Arboretum, at the university campus. There’s really nothing like walking through gardens after a bit of rain. Everything’s been washed clean, the flowers are smiling, the moist, damp earth smells heavenly. For this post, I chose the most colorful pictures I took. They’re almost blinding in their brilliance, especially the red geraniums against the bright blue fence in the children’s section. ~SueBee

I liked the sweet peas most.
They had been my mom’s favorite flower.
