First Harvest

Experienced vegetable gardeners may laugh at this, but I’m so proud harvesting my first zucchini and zucchini flowers this morning that I’m posting about it to celebrate! My oldest daughter, Angelika, gave me a few seeds that I planted May 20 in a small planter area in my back yard, and now I have fresh produce. I may make a zucchini bread, and perhaps a squash blossom frittata following a recipe I just came across. The options are unlimited… the world is my oyster! These are the things I get excited about during the Covid-19 safer at home situation. ~SueBee

Great harvest. What did you make with the zucchini flowers?

I made a fritatta using both the vegetable and the flowers. It was yummy!

We picked our first courgette/zucchini too this morning. It’s a huge thing isn’t it and you feel so proud. 🙂
