Tram to Mount San Jacinto

I joined Kat and her new husband, Cameron, for what I’d personally call a very challenging hike this past Saturday. We took the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, and then hiked a fairly steep trail through a pine forest at high altitude. I pasted some information from the tram website below for those interested. Left or Right

This seagull and I had quite the conversation during my recent visit to La Jolla near San Diego. He was insistent I tell him whether his left or right profile was more photogenic. Honestly, I couldn’t decide… my focus was on his adorable knobby knees and overlapping feet. 🙂 What do you think? ~SueBee

The Golden Hour at La Jolla

The sun moving closer to the horizon at day’s end lends the most gorgeous lighting that photographers dub the Golden Hour. It was a glorious one at La Jolla during my visit last Friday. ~SueBee

Half Empty, Half Full

This wine glass, or the work week, half done or not? I’ll look to the bright side of the work week and say it’s nearly half done. For the wine, well, the glass is still half full and at the time I was relaxed, enjoying myself. This photo was taken at Oak Glen outside of […]

Wish Upon a Stone Mushroom

Leave a coin, make a wish… today’s Foto Fix was taken at the Huntington Library and Gardens in San Marino, California. My previous visits, I never noticed the coins left at this statue. I’m not sure the history or reason, but hey, if we can wish upon a star, why not a stone mushroom!?! ~SueBee

Fishing from the Pier

Taking an evening walk along the Seal Beach Pier yesterday, I stopped to watch this fisherman getting his line ready and noticed a boat speeding right toward us. It managed a nice sideways maneuver and unloaded a worker from the oil platform visible in the distance. ~SueBee
