Drive-in Movies, those were the days

While out and about yesterday, I came across an old drive-in movie theater in Kanopolis, a town about an hour’s drive from my home. It certainly took me back to the days of my youth when I often went to the drive-in, both as a child with my family, and later as an adult. I remember being excited for the cartoons they’d show before the feature film, going to the snack bar and playground during intermission, waiting for the second feature, the windows fogging up when the weather was cold… so many memories.

The prices shown on the sign by the entrance didn’t look too out of date, so I did a bit of research online and discovered this theater originally opened in 1955, and was still operating back in 2018. Further information can be found by clicking here. Did you go to the drive-in movies? ~SueBee

It was not a British thing because of the weather as much as anything I suppose.

Rainy and cold weather would certainly make the experience near impossible to enjoy!
