Having spent this past Sunday afternoon enjoying the sunshine and clear blue skies in San Juan Capistrano, exploring the historic Mission grounds, you might well imagine I was in photographer’s heaven. While sorting through several hundred pictures and organizing into an enticing article, I’ve decided to make these adorable little birds landing at the fountain as a separate post. If anyone can identify the birds for me, please kindly do so! They’re a pretty yellow, with gray. ~SueBee (photo by SueBee)

I finally got your site to load. I am glad that Jerry could help. He is very knowledgeable about birds and his blog is always worth reading.
I really appreciate his help, and yours! The site he referred me to is very helpful… I see birds when I’m out and about and am curious about them. I’ll visit his blog as well. 🙂 ~SueBee
Hello.
Tom (Mr. Tootlepedal) asked me if I could help you out in identifying the birds in your photos. They look and behave like American Goldfinches, a cheery little bird, and one of my favorites. Here’s a link to more information.
