Silver Lake to Angelino Heights, part 4

This is the fourth and final installment of my wanderings through Silver Lake and Angelino Heights. Those who need to catch up, click here for part 1, part 2, and part 3. If you’re like me, you’ll spend some time trying to decide which house is your favorite. I’ve changed my mind countless times. I finally decided it’s impossible to decide. It seems to me, that since variety is the spice of life, this neighborhood is particularly spicy! The thing that really astounds me, though, is that I was born just a few miles from this location, in a hospital in downtown Los Angeles that no longer exists due to the 110 freeway eliminating it years back. I’ve lived within a short drive of this area most of my life, and yet had never walked these streets before. I’m so grateful to my son for inviting me to lunch and showing me the gorgeous old homes near Echo Park. This entire experience reinforces to me that this blog, consisting entirely of Everything Southern California, has no end of subject matter!!! ~SueBee (photos by SueBee) Click on any photo to open the gallery and view an incredible piece of history!

Each is truly unique. So refreshing when compared to beige cookie-cutter tract houses built these days. Thx for stopping by! ~SueBee
