XO set to music,
such a common theme.
Reflections in the window
things aren’t what they seem.
This Foto Fix was taken at a store window at SoCo in Costa Mesa. Reflections intrigue me. While shadows seem firmly anchored, reflections are much more whimsical… this one triggering a childhood memory of our family home, an historic adobe brick abode with walls a foot thick. My assigned seat at our family dinner table was next to a window that looked into the enclosed lanai, walled in glass, that also backed the living room. When my dad would get up from dinner and go into the living room, turning on the TV, I could watch the show via reflection. Ha! I felt so clever! I suppose I should add, I was a rather stubborn child who could drag out finishing those last few “whatevers” on my plate until my mom would eventually give up, exasperated, and dismiss me from the table. Her entreaties of “stop gazing out the window and finish your peas” fell on deaf ears. š ~SueBee (photo by SueBee)
