What an amazing discovery Kat and I made while wandering around downtown Los Angeles last weekend. We stumbled upon The Last Bookstore, located at 453 S. Spring Street, downtown Los Angeles! Sadly, how true that name is becoming in our cold, sterile world of electronic books and online ordering. Where will the bookstores and libraries go if people choose “convenience” over a personal touch? One can only remain hopeful that enough others are like me, and much prefer the real deal, refusing to “modernize”! ~SueBee (photos by SueBee)

Thank you Sue and Kat! I didn’t know about this bookstore, and it looks like my idea of heaven. In fact, it looks like what I would imagine out of a scene from Harry Potter. Thanks.
We literally stumbled on it…. but I’d seen an article about it recently. Then, as we were crossing the street, I glanced back and saw it! What a place!!
wow- that looks like a great bookstore
It’s a fun place… a person could get lost in there for hours!
That’s one impressive bookstore!! I just may have to check it one of these days!
I think you should… it’s really an incredible place!! ~SueBee
