Weekly Photo Challenge: Optimistic

This week’s Photo Challenge asks us to provide examples of being Optimistic. I chose this photo of a family gathered in the chilly evening hours at Newport Beach Pier, as their fisherman winds his fishing line onto the spool. The family, and particularly the little girl, is surely optimistic that dinner would soon be caught. ~SueBeeWeekly Photo Challenge, Optimism

I don’t regard fishermen as optimists. I see them as masters of relaxation, knowing that nothing is going to disturb them for hours.

The fishermen and women I’ve seen on the various piers, quite obviously get a great deal of enjoyment of just being outside by the ocean.

Fishing is one of the best examples of optimism I can think of. Otherwise I can think of no reason to be standing out there on a chilly evening getting wet!
