Bighorn Sheep Sighting

I hiked the Palm Canyon Trail late one afternoon during my Solo Car Camping trip at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, intent on spotting bighorn sheep (borrego, in Spanish). I wasn’t disappointed, except in myself for not lugging my heavy zoom lens along. The sheep were near-impossible to see, as they blend in amazingly well with the rocky hillsides. The pictures are rather like “Where’s Waldo”! Here are several, with just the final one cropped in. ~SueBee

They are hard to spot. You are right.

I’m glad some other hikers mentioned where the sheep were… I certainly would have passed them by!
