Dillon Nature Center Pond Still Frozen

With the snow and ice mostly melted, I decided to try a walk at Dillon Nature Center yesterday afternoon. I took my rubber yard boots along and changed into them before I set off. That was a smart decision because, while the cement path around the lake was fine, the path through the woods was muddy and slippery. There were many times I walked up on the edge to keep from landing on my back side. Other than having to be very careful in the mud, I enjoyed getting outside after weeks of snow and freezing temps. Now that we’re into double digits I look forward to more walks. ~SueBee

I am glad that you could get out. Do you use walking poles in those conditions?

I don’t have any walking poles but I think it would be wise for me to purchase some.
