The past three days were packed with multiple events I was invited to, all on the west side of Los Angeles, so I stayed at my son’s place. I did manage to grab a few free hours Saturday morning, though, for a long-overdue visit to a favorite place on that side of town, the South Coast Botanic Gardens in Rancho Palos Verdes. As a person whose job requires indoor office work on a computer five days a week, I make a point of getting outside as often as possible on the weekends.
The weather was cool and overcast, the gardens rather empty. I wandered the trails rarely passing anyone else. It seems an orchid show and sale in progress near the entrance held the crowd’s attention. Once I returned home this evening, and looked over my photos, I noticed a variety of yellow flowers and decided to group them for this post. The orchids were stunning, of course, but I even enjoyed the random spots of yellow that I noticed from the trails. Such a cheerful color! ~SueBee (photos by SueBee)

I think it would be rather pleasant to have the gardens mostly to yourself!
