Kat and I were lucky to grab some time to explore together this past Saturday. Our schedules don’t match up that often anymore, so this was particularly special time. We headed to downtown Los Angeles, planning on first having breakfast at Grand Central Market and then visiting a museum or two. We ended up finding so much to see and do, we never made it to a museum. This gallery includes some of the street scenes and people of downtown… from the sad reality of those who sleep on the cold, hard sidewalk, to the talented accordion player who thanked us for the bit of money we gave him, to the film being shot of a girl on roller blades, to the street artist… it’s never a dull moment in the city, though often a heartbreaking one. ~SueBee (photos by SueBee)

Why was the roller blader wearing a sheet?
I wasn’t able to figure out what she was supposed to be. At first I thought maybe an angel for Christmas, but that idea lost steam with the roller skates!
The ghost of Christmas Past?
By jove I think you’ve got it!
