Camping Lake Perris

In the desert near Riverside, about an hour’s drive from our home in Orange, sits a very pretty lake with campground. It’s a State Recreation Area, and is well maintained and managed. Back in September, a group of us camped overnight, after a day of wine tasting in Temecula, followed by a day of boating on the lake. It had been quite a few years since my last camping expedition, but I was quickly reminded how enjoyable it is!! There’s really nothing like sitting around a campfire as the sun sets, or the smell of bacon cooking the next morning. The following gallery provides a taste of the beautiful desert landscape. ~SueBee (photos by SueBee)
