(17 photos in gallery) Continuing where we left off yesterday, today’s gallery features my view out the Metrolink train window from San Clemente on down the coast to Oceanside. While it started as a rather blustery, overcast day, the temperature was perfect for walking. The sun eventually broke through, and the day was gorgeous. I can’t wait for my next train adventure! ~SueBee

Surf competition.
Waiting for bigger waves, I presume.

Light traffic on southbound 5 Freeway that came to a dead stop a few miles further on.

Thanks for this adventure, Sue! I do love riding the train. My commute to an old job took me from L.A.’s Union Station to my “de-training” point in Irvine. The train ride was the best part of the job — the rest of my day was downhill until I “retrained” for home.
I got 2 free Metrolink tickets in the mail, one of many “welcome to the neighborhood” freebies at the new house. You’ve inspired me to use those tickets. And I won’t be going to work. What could be better?
Sounds like the best freebie I’ve ever heard of!! I had so much fun that day.
I like the idea of de-training. In my own world on some days I do training but on others I do de-training.
haha!
