I drove my oldest daughter, Angelika, and her boyfriend to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) yesterday for their flight to Germany. Rather than sitting in rush hour traffic on the freeway for the drive home, I chose a little side trip. I visited one of my favorite gardens, South Coast Botanic Garden, followed by a drive along the Palos Verdes Peninsula. It looks cool enough in your pictures but I know that that is deceiving.
On the coast it was comfortable enough. I live inland about 20 miles and it’s much hotter.
