(18 photos in gallery) I was in complete agreement with the Simon & Garfunkle song “It’s All Happening at the Zoo” yesterday, as I visited the San Diego Zoo
for the first time in decades. Kat and her boyfriend, Cameron, gave me an annual pass for the Zoo and associated Wild Animal Park at Christmas. I finally set aside a day for the 100 mile drive, left just a little after 7am to avoid the usual traffic on the 405 freeway, and spent the day in San Diego. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, and the crowds were manageable…although I was ready to search out whichever person invented baby strollers as big as cars and give them a piece of my mind. For the gallery below, I chose out some of my favorite photos… as most of us know, narrowing down several hundred to just a few is an arduous task!
