(25 photos) Exiting the train this past Sunday from my spontaneous ride to San Juan Capistrano, I was surprised to find a tiny row of shops and restaurants running directly along the train tracks. Turns out the area holds many of the town’s original buildings from the days before California was part of the United States. Many of the buildings, now designated the Los Rios Historic District, have been converted into restaurants, art galleries, and gift stores. Since the day was hot, I found a nice shady table on the porch of the Tea House, ordered my lunch and relaxed for awhile, with not a care in the world. ~SueBee

It is a beautiful place. I love visiting. The Mission is beautiful also and worth the visit.
Yes, I agree. Here’s link to post I did from my visit to the mission. https://suebeeandkat.com/2013/12/21/touring-a-mission-founded-in-1776/
Oh Fantastic. I have been a few times. I love it!
A perfect day out.
Any day with a train ride is perfect in my book!

Nice! On a lunch break from a rather busy and stressful day. You got me dreaming of warm weather and Los Rios.
Glad my little trip could help!!
