(12 photos) I visited Descanso Gardens today, a beautiful spot near my home town of La Crescenta, about a dozen miles north of downtown Los Angeles. The weather couldn’t have been better, with visitors at a minimum. The plants looked tired and dusty but the camellias showed off their beauty regardless. I think they’re truly looking forward to the rain forecast for tomorrow. Other than skidding down the steep fence line trail onto my knee in a rather crooked, ungraceful manner (ouch), I enjoyed a wonderful visit. ~SueBee

I’ll have to say . . . these gardens look better in January than most I’ve seen. At least in East Tennessee! Thanks for sharing.
