This past Saturday, I took a spontaneous drive to a little mountain town called Wrightwood. It’s on the back side of the Angeles Crest mountain range, near to highways 138 and 15. It’d been decades since I’d last been there. Traffic on the freeways en route was heavier than I’d hoped for, but being Southern California, I wasn’t surprised.
Generally at this time of year, Wrightwood would be full of skiers and snow lovers. But, such is not our weather this year. There wasn’t a single snowflake to be seen. I drove up and down a few streets, walked along the small main street, but didn’t spend much time as it was already late. I continued on my way, and ended up in Victorville at a Cracker Barrel restaurant. It’s the first one in our state, and having eaten at several in Arizona years ago, I was very excited. The restaurant didn’t disappoint! The food was delicious… home-style cooking at its best. I highly recommend if you’re ever in the area. ~SueBee
I liked the garage doors.
I did, too!
