Kat and I wandered around the oldies car show in our town plaza this past Sunday. The sky was clear, the sun hot, and we forgot to bring our hats. We attempted to stay on the shady side of the street, but the cars just kept calling us over. Lucky for no sunburn! I was especially in love with the pale turquoise blue Volkswagen Bug that was just like the one my dad owned back in the day. This one was a 1962 with roof rack, and my dad’s was a 1963 without the rack, though. Otherwise, down to the white wall tires, it looked just as I remembered. My dad was always so proud to tell folks that our family of four took a two week vacation to Canada and back in that car, with nothing packed on the outside! My brother and I can attest to the truth of that story as we were the ones squished in the back. I honestly don’t recall anything other than a wonderful trip, though, with lots of sightseeing, singing and calling out license plates along the way! ~SueBee

Liked your car show pics. Recently took pictures of an Australian car show. There were a few US models.
I think I have ridden in a bubble car like the one you show.
