Vintage Autumn Junk Journal

My favorite season has been the focus of lots of journal making here lately. The newest is vintage inspired, featuring lots of old-time lace and ephemera. It has a flexible, soft cover of gorgeous upholstery fabric layered over stiffener. The journal measures 9″ x 6″, and has two signatures with a total of 72 pages total, counting fronts and backs. The signatures are hand-stitched into a single set of holes in the spine; a fabric tie holds the journal closed.       The hobby combines my love of sewing with newly learned paper techniques. Quite a lot of fun indeed! Since retirement, I’m not affording to go “out and about” with my camera as often, so this is filling my time quite nicely.
