This is a collection of mood shots I took at San Simeon, up California’s central coast, during my November vacation. My favorite time at the beach is when it’s draped in heavy fog, setting a mellow, reflective tone. Seeing a sailboat anchored silently offshore adds to the atmosphere for me, and my mind wanders to thoughts of my mom and dad and their boat, Whisper. ~SueBee

I love moody, foggy days!
They’re just the best!
Great shots. Another one of my favorite places. You captured it perfectly.
Thank you so much. It was just perfect!
Wonderful photos and I like the set up of the tiled photos – and I recall driving in thick fog once going from San Francisco to San Jose and I was nervous and thrilled because it is an experience
Thank you for writing! I know what you mean, driving in thick fog can be really scary, but definitely an experience you’ll remember. I think walking on the beach in fog is safer!
Yes – walking is so much better – ha
and wishing you a great Sunday
