I started making journals in November, 2018, and quickly became hooked on the craft. Making use of my long-held loves of fabric and sewing, as well as gaining an outlet for my many thousands of photographs, and sharpening my brain by learning paper manipulation and digital design techniques… well, there you go. Retirement (and freedom) has been the icing on the crafting cake. I built an Etsy shop in mid-2019 and was thrilled with my first order, and subsequent ones. Validation is such a high!

The next journal, a city grunge theme, is on my work table.
I recently became foggy as to how many journals I’ve actually made… several were gifted away, while others sold and shipped off. I therefore spent the better part of today pulling photos of journal covers together into a single spot. I think this is all of them… sorted into two separate galleries, below. The first gallery features embellished journals, my true loves… they have multiple signatures (groups of pages) hand-sewn into handmade or altered book covers, and loads of details, ephemera, and tuck spots. I’ve made them in a variety of styles, from grungy to elegant to vintage to garden-y. The second gallery showcases plain journals, with their unique decoupaged covers, suitable for adding your own details to simple, varied pages. I hope you enjoy looking through the pictures! ~SueBee
