As I mentioned in my last post, Looking Up, I spent a fair amount of time while wandering around the Fullerton Arboretum, looking up. This proved to be particularly true after I wandered off the path to better see what creature was scurrying about, and had something smallish land on my head. My attention was then immediately directed upwards at a large, fluffy palm tree. It took me some time to see a squirrel munching away at whatever type of nuts were growing on the palm. One of his discards is clearly what landed on my head. This gave me quite a chuckle as I’d never seen a squirrel up a palm tree. Naturally I wished I’d carried my heavy zoom lens along, but cropping in gives a pretty clear view of the culprit. By the way, the creature I went to investigate was another squirrel burying his finds in a nice hole he’d dug. I promised I wouldn’t disclose his secret hiding place. ~SueBee

What a fun post! Love the trees and your take on the squirrel.
Thank you!! It was really kinda cool watching him!!
But I want to know his burial place.
Haha! I’ll have to visit the Arboretum again and get his written permission. If he’s agreeable to that, I’ll be sure to post the secret location!
I feared the worst.
Yes, it was worrisome, no doubt!
funny, glad it was just a squirrel and a snack shell.
Indeed! I realize it could have been something altogether different!
