Continuing from my previous post, I’m sharing more pictures from the end of the road in Salton City. As further evidence of the area’s economic decline, here’s a picture advertising ridiculously low residential lot prices there. For Southern California, that price is nearly a give-away. The pictures in the gallery feature one home in particular. It was located on the corner of the final street at the road’s end. Clearly, the homeowner spent a lot of time collecting bottles and creating the meditation circle, as well as decorating their home with tiles. I felt so sad for them, being surrounded by things that were so dilapidated. Perhaps they don’t notice anymore and are thankful for the peace and quiet. ~SueBee
