I finally had a chance to finish up the New Orleans journal that I started well before Mardi Gras. It’s blasting with bright colors and fun; is 9″ x 7″ with a soft cover made from a patchwork of dupioni silks, print satins, and laces. It has three signatures (sets of pages) hand-stitched into the cover, with a total of 92 pages. I used photos I took while on my 2018 visit there. If you do a search on SueBeeandKat.com, you’ll find lots of posts with pictures from my trip. What a city! ~SueBee
Note: if you’d like to see more of the journal, I recorded a page flip-through. To view it on my YouTube channel, please click here.
Wonderful work, Congratulations.
Thank you!
I absolutely love this. I grew up in a small town outside New Orleans, so the ironwork, Mardi Gras masks, and rich colors just bring back the fondest memories. Great art! Thanks for posting.
I’m so happy you enjoyed it! How fun to hear from someone who’s lucky to be from that part of the country. I loved visiting and hope to again someday!! Thank you for writing! ❤
