Southern California was visited by a powerful storm Sunday and Monday. My town of Orange had hail, wind, snow, torrential rain, lightning, thunder, more hail…! I looked out my front window to see a raging river of ice going down the street. If I could share videos on here, you’d see what I mean. Truly UNreal as my mom would have said! Following such a storm, we naturally get warmer temps, blue skies, and sunshine the next days, so I immediately bought an entry ticket yesterday to the California Botanic Garden in Claremont. (During our Safer At Home orders, the gardens have limited entry numbers, face mask requirements, and advance ticket purchase requirements.) Claremont sits at the base of the mountains and I really wanted to get a picture of the snow, so off I went and captured these shots. It was a lesson in patience for the clouds to move away from the tip of the mountain peaks, but I finally managed to get a shot. It was really something to see… the entire mountain range covered in snow! ~SueBee
A good result for your patience.
Thank you!
