…continuing through the beautiful prairie lands of central Kansas. These pictures were taken the day I explored the Quivera National Wildlife Refuge and surrounding areas.
A few notes… the tire perched on the fencepost was a unique sighting. In other places I’ve explored, they are widespread and always made me wonder “why’s there a tire hanging on that fence post”. I still don’t have the answer to that question, but it’s not one I’ve needed to ask myself as often here.
The crops being actively watered fascinated me to no end. I’ve often (unlike the tires) seen the contraptions lined across fields, but seeing it rolling along and watering was fun. I’m assuming there’s a well somewhere with a pipe leading to the watering contraption. ~SueBee
