Try as I might, I’ve not been very lucky in getting pictures of all the various birds visiting my backyard, whether at the feeders or the three bird baths I maintain for them. Regardless of a lack of good pictures, they bring me endless joy on a daily basis. My favorites are the blue jays who love finding the peanuts I set around for them, the robin red breasts who remind me of a childhood song (“the red, red robin came bobbin’ bobbin’ along”), and my very favorite, the bright red cardinals. There’s such a variety of birds that I can hardly keep up with them all. In the photo gallery you’ll see a painting of ‘Backyard Birds of Kansas that I spotted at a local restaurant. I took a picture of it to help me with identification.
Not to leave out my other favorite backyard residents / visitors, the squirrels who wait patiently for me to fill the feeder each morning, also bring me countless joy. Watching their antics would bring a smile to anyone’s face. It’s quite a difference living where I can enjoy such a variety of nature right out my windows! ~SueBee

I am very glad to see that the fake tree concept has gone international. You are getting good results with it.
The concept is brilliant. I’m glad I saw you mention it on your blog. The birds love it, and I’ve even seen a squirrel climb it on several occasions. It’s a never-ending entertainment show.
I am glad that it has worked well.
