Today’s Foto Fix was taken while walking along San Francisco Bay in the quaint town of Sausalito. The artist was performing a balancing act! Certainly reminded me of all the small, flat rocks I collected on the beach at Cambria, and have balancing in stacks of threes at my home. ~SueBee

Today’s Foto Fix was taken at the flower fields in Carlsbad, California. Gorgeous color to be seen in every direction! ~SueBee

Today’s Foto Fix was taken at San Simeon last year, during my vacation up California’s central coast. San Simeon is well-known as the home of Hearst Castle, a gorgeous estate high on the hill above the coast. This photo always seemed magical to me, and brings reminisces of stories mom and dad shared about the sailboat […]

The expression on their faces, and their interaction after this picture was taken, reminded me of the famous comedy duo. This picture was taken on one of Southern California’s piers. ~SueBee

Today’s Foto Fix was taken while driving back from San Diego a month or so ago. ~SueBee

Today’s Foto Fix was taken yesterday at Oak Canyon Nature Center in Anaheim Hills, the next town over from where I live in Orange. Look in the center of the photo, along the path, and you’ll see the bird in flight. I was surprised to see this beautiful bird within such a heavily wooded area. ~SueBee

Today’s Foto Fix was taken near Carlsbad in Southern California, south of where I live in Orange. I was pleased to capture all seven birds as they sailed by in formation. ~SueBee

Today’s Foto Fix was taken at Descanso Gardens and features fallen camellia blossoms someone laid out in a spiral. This photo seemed a good one for 2016 Earth Day! ~SueBee

Can you identify the UFO (unknown flying object) in the upper right of this picture I took at San Francisco a few weeks ago? I didn’t notice the object until just now, as I gathered pictures for my next blog post, so I have no clue what it is. Since I was trying to focus on the […]

Today’s Foto Fix was taken at San Francisco while I was walking along Fisherman’s Wharf earlier this month. The sign seemed a bit of an understatement, considering there’s a battleship in the background. ~SueBee

Today’s Foto Fix was taken a week ago in San Francisco during a wonderful weekend visiting there with my son and his boyfriend. We explored the city top to bottom by foot, and with camera. I have several hundred photos to sort through, once I finish the arrangements I’m working on for my mom’s memorial […]

Today’s Foto Fix was taken at a plant nursery near Carlsbad, California and features the most colorful mushrooms (toadstools?) you’ll ever see! ~SueBee

This photo is dedicated to my dear, sweet mom who passed away this past Saturday afternoon at the age of 98. Her passing was peaceful and without pain. My family and I are heartbroken. She was the anchor of our small family, she was always there, we were extremely close. I chose this picture because […]

A haiku for this Thursday, featuring a photo taken at Fiscalini Ranch Preserve in Cambria, a quaint village on California’s Central Coast. ~SueBee Small yellow flower in the middle of the road beckons me forward.

Celebrating the first day of Spring with a picture of lavender growing at Descanso Gardens. ~SueBee

My favorite day of the workweek is here. Happy Friday! This picture was taken at Descanso Gardens. ~SueBee

Today’s Foto Fix was taken ground-level at Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge during my visit a week or two ago. ~SueBee

Today’s Foto Fix was taken last July when I took a short vacation to California’s Central Coast town of Cambria. The area just south of town is filled with rolling hills, farms and vineyards. It’s a very beautiful, restful place, unless you’re the one having to load all that firewood onto the pickup truck! ~SueBee

Today’s Foto Fix features sweet pansies showing off at Descanso Gardens this past Saturday. ~SueBee

Good Morning to you! This photo was taken at the Palm Springs Riviera Hotel last October while on a visit to participate in the Desert AIDS Walk. ~SueBee
