Reflections fascinate me as much as shadows do. This one I find particularly tricky in determining if anything other than the stone and a few brown leaves are real, not reflected. As I mentioned previously, the gardens are so beautiful at The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, that I have a near-endless supply of photos from my recent visit! This gorgeous rose reminds me of sherbet (which I’ve pronounced as sherbert my entire life, by the way)… yummy! ~SueBee

A visit to the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in San Marino yesterday, and wandering around the beautiful rose garden brings today’s Foto Fix. It was a delightfully overcast, cool day, perfect for all the walking I did. The roses have a vintage look, don’t you think? ~SueBee

A very large bird making an early morning approach to San Diego (California) International Airport is our entry into this week’s Photo Challenge, Early Bird. I wonder if the waiting passengers qualify as worms?! ~SueBee

Today’s Foto Fix was taken on the Seal Beach Pier at dusk. I like the style of the lamps, color of the sky, and the sun reflecting on the windows of the oil platform to the left and ship to the right. ~SueBee

This week’s Photo Challenge, Afloat, brought several images to mind, but I settled on this one. It’s a fisherman’s rag, left secured to the pier at Seal Beach, afloat on the evening’s brisk wind. ~SueBee

Spotted this lovely red what I think is a lily at Huntington Library and Gardens, and it seems like a great candidate for our Daily Foto Fix. ~SueBee

Entering this week’s photo challenge, Ephemeral, I thought of California’s drought, and how this tiny creek would soon be dried up. The photo was taken in Andreas Canyon, Palm Springs. ~SueBee

When necessities of life seem to take over and become all-consuming, I grab a few moments, wander through my photos, and lead my mind to places of relaxation. This morning’s reflection is from my end-of-2014 mini vacation to Palm Springs, and a glorious early morning hike in Andreas Canyon. Happy Sunday! ~SueBee
