Weekly Photo Challenge, Enveloped
I have so many photos suitable for this week’s Photo Challenge, Enveloped, but ended up with this one of scuba divers skimming the surface, enveloped by their suits and the Pacific Ocean at Corona Del Mar. ~SueBee

As entry for this week’s Photo Challenge, Forces of Nature, my photos show a child’s sand castle being washed away by the tide. Photo taken this past Sunday afternoon at Corona Del Mar in Southern California. ~SueBee
This photo perplexes me nearly as much as the pond reflection from a few days ago. I took it Sunday afternoon while wandering along the beach at Corona Del Mar, after my family’s wonderful Mother’s Day festivities had concluded, using my Nikon long lens (55/300). I can’t figure how so many things can be going on in one small spot […]
Reflections fascinate me as much as shadows do. This one I find particularly tricky in determining if anything other than the stone and a few brown leaves are real, not reflected. I took this shot at Oak Canyon Nature Center in Anaheim Hills during a recent hike. More photos from that afternoon of exploring coming soon! ~SueBee
As I mentioned previously, the gardens are so beautiful at The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, that I have a near-endless supply of photos from my recent visit! This gorgeous rose reminds me of sherbet (which I’ve pronounced as sherbert my entire life, by the way)… yummy! ~SueBee
A new page, WPC Photos, has been added to the SueBee and Kat blog, featuring a collection of our Weekly Photo Challenge pictures. Please visit! The photo below was the entry into our very first Challenge, Reflections, posted on May 22, 2014. It’s a selfie Kat took while visiting the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in […]
I’m going with a seafaring theme, with a photo taken at Los Angeles Harbor, for this week’s Photo Challenge, Intricate. The ropes crossing this way and that appear very intricate and lace-like to me. ~SueBee
Another Daily Foto Fix taken at Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in San Marino. It’s so beautiful there, I have a near endless supply of photos to upload for the blog. ~SueBee
The motion of time passing eerily silent and unseen on its own. captivated by its own energy its unfulfilled lust for speed. the wretched taskmaster never content to be, to just be unwilling to stop and sit a spell. no. we don’t gain even one moment’s pause… we ask where the time went the days, months, years. yet […]
Daily Foto Fix taken in the children’s garden at Huntington Library and Botanical Garden recently. ~SueBee
A visit to the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in San Marino yesterday, and wandering around the beautiful rose garden brings today’s Foto Fix. It was a delightfully overcast, cool day, perfect for all the walking I did. The roses have a vintage look, don’t you think? ~SueBee
A very large bird making an early morning approach to San Diego (California) International Airport is our entry into this week’s Photo Challenge, Early Bird. I wonder if the waiting passengers qualify as worms?! ~SueBee
Some (all) workweeks, you just really need it to be Friday (after which starts weekend). This picture is how I feel today. Happy, Happy Friday to you!! Photo taken at Korean Friendship Bell on the hill overlooking the harbor in San Pedro. ~SueBee
Today’s Foto Fix was taken on the Seal Beach Pier at dusk. I like the style of the lamps, color of the sky, and the sun reflecting on the windows of the oil platform to the left and ship to the right. ~SueBee
This week’s Photo Challenge, Afloat, brought several images to mind, but I settled on this one. It’s a fisherman’s rag, left secured to the pier at Seal Beach, afloat on the evening’s brisk wind. ~SueBee
Spotted this lovely red what I think is a lily at Huntington Library and Gardens, and it seems like a great candidate for our Daily Foto Fix. ~SueBee
A lovely row of spring flowers for a lovely spring day! Photo taken at South Coast Botanical Garden. Happy Easter! ~SueBee
Entering this week’s photo challenge, Ephemeral, I thought of California’s drought, and how this tiny creek would soon be dried up. The photo was taken in Andreas Canyon, Palm Springs. ~SueBee
When necessities of life seem to take over and become all-consuming, I grab a few moments, wander through my photos, and lead my mind to places of relaxation. This morning’s reflection is from my end-of-2014 mini vacation to Palm Springs, and a glorious early morning hike in Andreas Canyon. Happy Sunday! ~SueBee
Today’s Foto Fix is of the Lake Hollywood Reservoir in foreground with view of buildings running along Wilshire Boulevard in the background. I took this shot from along the road to the famous Hollywood sign. ~SueBee
