I chose this photo of a family gathered in the chilly evening hours at Newport Beach Pier, as their fisherman winds his fishing line onto the spool. The family, and particularly the little girl, is surely optimistic that dinner would soon be caught. ~SueBee

During stressful times, the remedy I often seek is a quick visit to the shore. When that’s not possible, gazing at a photo is the next best thing. This beautiful outlook onto the Pacific Ocean is from the end of Poppy Street in Corona Del Mar. Happy Wednesday, halfway to the weekend! ~SueBee

Today’s Foto Fix features a bit of gravity-defying magic demonstrated by two young gals on the beach at Oceanside, as they took a break from an international soccer tournament. The gal dressed in pink impressed me with her very cool, controlled skill! I’m sure I never looked that calm while hula-hooping. 😉 ~SueBee

I’m going with a seafaring theme, with a photo taken at Los Angeles Harbor, for this week’s Photo Challenge, Intricate. The ropes crossing this way and that appear very intricate and lace-like to me. ~SueBee

Today’s Foto Fix was taken on the Seal Beach Pier at dusk. I like the style of the lamps, color of the sky, and the sun reflecting on the windows of the oil platform to the left and ship to the right. ~SueBee
