The cover of my new book “It Was Current Just Yesterday- but has since been filed away” is submitted for this week’s photo challenge, Cover Art.
This photo was taken today in the University of Southern California’s Doheny Memorial Library while I was visiting the Los Angeles Archives Bizarre being held there. The card catalog is living proof of the filing system my brain uses. I have just such a set of drawers housed within my gray cells, with a little librarian scurrying back and forth searching for just the item I need at the moment. During times of heavy use, there may be a bit of delay, which can be most frustrating. I’ve therefore considered purchasing roller skates for the librarian to speed up the retrieval process. My book will discuss as much of six decades worth of Southern California nostalgia as my little librarian can pull together before print deadline. ~SueBee (photo by SueBee)
For this week’s Photo Challenge, stimulate your creative process and imagine which of your images you would like to see gracing the cover of a book, an album, or a magazine. Would the image inspire us to take a peek through the pages, listen to the music, or buy a ticket to the show? Would it strike a chord with viewers, making them reflect on or revisit memories of places, people, and experiences?
Fun photo, great idea!
Thank you! I covered the town this past Saturday, from Archives at USC to Art Walk at Brewery, finishing with a short visit to San Antonio Winery. 🙂
