Yellow was the eye-popping color of the day yesterday when I visited (for the very first time) Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden in Claremont. It took just about half an hour to drive the less than thirty miles from my hometown of Orange.
Claremont is an adorable little college town; the highly regarded Pomona Colleges are located there. I’d been to the town and the colleges several times in the past, when each of my three kids were in their college-search phase, but I’d never been to the nearby botanic gardens. I had the day off work, the weather was nice and overcast… and that made the perfect day for exploring the extensive grounds. I discovered right off the bat that yellow was everywhere! Such a cheerful sight! ~SueBee
