On the way home from my brother and sister-in-law’s in Burbank yesterday, I stopped for a fairly short visit at the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens. I arrived at 3pm; the gardens close at 5. I’m glad I arrived so late because it looked to have been a jam-packed day. It was, after all, the quintessential Southern California day of sunshine, blue skies, and moderate temps, and that draws foks outdoors. People were starting to depart, so I was lucky to get a parking spot. I made a nice tour of the gardens, starting at the desert area then wandering across the great lawn to the Japanese and Chinese gardens. I wish I could share the sweet fragrance that was in the air! ~SueBee
