Los Rios Historic District, SJC
(25 photos) Exiting the train this past Sunday from my spontaneous ride to San Juan Capistrano, I was surprised to find a tiny row of shops and restaurants running directly along the train tracks. Turns out the area holds many of the town’s original buildings from the days before California was part of the United […]
Weekly Photo Challenge, Transient
I’m interpreting the Weekly Photo Challenge of Transient as “here today, gone tomorrow”, and showing a couple pics I took from the train yesterday. I hopped on in Orange, where I live, and off at San Juan Capistrano, south of me. Seeing the field of crops surrounded by new buildings and construction equipment, well, it […]

(8 photos) The pictures in this gallery were taken at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve , in Huntington Beach, during a recent drive up Pacific Coast Highway from Newport Beach to Seal Beach, where I stopped for dinner. Coolness for a Hot Day

Afternoon on the Mountain, Oak Glen
I realized yesterday while starting a few projects in my craft room that I hadn’t been to Oak Glen for some time, so I put aside the projects and hopped in my little truck. The 1 and a 1/4 hour drive was pleasant. I went straight away to a favorite spot, Snow Line, for coffee […]

Scaling Red Rock

I’m submitting a second entry for this week’s Photo Challenge, Evanescent, with this photo I took at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area in Nevada last week.
