My boyfriend Cam discovered an amazing hike near the Cleveland National Forest in Southeast Orange County: Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park. We’ve been a couple times, but during our last visit, we spotted a whole group of deer! We both had our cameras along, so of course we had to capture a few pics. 🙂
The hike itself is very easy going…lots of trees, a gorgeous view along the cliff…just an absolutely stunning place to hike. There are tons of trails to explore…and even a few available specifically for bikers and horseback riders. This is a great place for a nice day hike…I can’t wait to explore some of the other trails, and hopefully capture more wildlife pics! ~Kat (pics by Kat)
A great park. I love the idea that there is wildlife to observe. In lots of parks, there isn’t any, but this is a very large area. You captured some really nice photographs too.
Thank you so much! I love any opportunity to see wildlife…my favorite photo opps 🙂 ~Kat
It’s 2,500 acres! Wow! Sounds like a fun time. Deer are always nice to see when you aren’t dodging them on the highway.
Yeah it’s a big place! I love seeing deer…and I definitely agree it’s nice to not be dodging them while driving. ~Kat
