A simple display of defiance is the subject of today’s Foto Fix, with a seagull demonstrating that keep off spikes attached to the sculpture were not intended for him! That he’s perched on the flying fish adds just a bit of irony as well. This photo was taken on the pier at Santa Monica Beach, near the carnival rides. I wonder now, in looking more closely at the sculpture, why spikes are only on the left side.
