There’s a different vibe at the beach in the early morning. The wide variety of life attached to it rises and begins its daily routine. This past Sunday morning, I journeyed to Santa Monica Beach, and Palisades Park, top of the sandy cliffs above Pacific Coast Highway. After parking at a meter, I joined countless joggers, bicyclists, homeless, tourists, and dog-walkers. Quite an experience, I must say. This first of a three-part series is of the beach waking up.
This looks like a dead body, but I’m guessing cheap wine (at least that’s what the seagulls inferred):
A guy walking directly through their colony caused quite a stir among the seagulls… but they quickly resettled as he passed by:
